Gram Stain

  •  Gram negative bacilli curved, S-shaped or spiral (fastidious)

Clinical Significance

This organism is associated with gastroenteritis, bacteremia, and urinary tract infections in immunocompromised patients.

 

Usual Susceptibility Pattern

C. lari should be susceptible to macrolides and quinolones.
