• Gram positive bacilli long (aerobic)

Clinical Significance

This organism has been isolated from ear specimens of patients with chronic otitis; however its role in infection remains controversial.

Usual Susceptibility Pattern

These organisms are susceptible to beta-lactams, quinolones, and doxycycline.

Macrolide and clindamycin susceptibility is variable.
